Stephen Fleming invites Indian corporate travellers to New Zealand for World Cup 2015

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 is around the corner and the former BLACKCAPS captain, Stephen Fleming is in India showcasing New Zealand offerings for the Indian market. At an evening event in Mumbai, Stephen Fleming engaged with Indian corporate travellers and invited them to his home country for the mega sporting event.



A new agreement was also signed yesterday between Tourism New Zealand, Immigration New Zealand and six key travel agents from India to attract corporate travellers to the destination. The initiative requires a processing time of only three days to issue work visas to travellers.

General Manager Asia, Tourism New Zealand, David Craig, says, �New Zealand is committed to continuing to grow Business Events out of India. We have also launched new visa programmes for cricket fans and corporate travellers, which enable them to follow their favourite teams through the tournament and experience the destination offerings of New Zealand�.

New Zealand will be hosting 23 matches of the tournament, including the opening ceremony, across seven popular regions of the destination - Auckland, Hamilton, Napier and Wellington in the North Island and Nelson, Christchurch and Dunedin in the South Island.

Addressing the gathering, Stephen Fleming said, �If there is one thing that is exactly the same between Indians and Kiwis, it is their love and passion for cricket. We got the opportunity to experience Indian hospitality during the previous Cricket World Cup and it is now our turn to amaze our guests from India.�

The matches:

India plays Ireland on 10 March in Hamilton. The region, best known for Olympic rowers, champion horses and Hobbiton, will host the current ICC Cricket World Cup champions and their supporters at the picturesque Seddon Park which is renowned for its "village green" setting, offering a relaxing atmosphere for spectators.

It is the fourth largest cricket ground (seating capacity and third largest 'true' oval) in New Zealand. The stadium was named after the former New Zealand Prime Minister Richard John (King Dick) Seddon.

India�s second match in New Zealand will be against Zimbabwe on 14 March at Eden Park, Auckland. The dual home of cricket and rugby will accommodate an expected influx of Indians keen to support their team and visit New Zealand including Auckland known as the City of Sails thanks to its bountiful harbor and love of sailing.
